ACL Divisions, Skill Levels & CPI

ACL Divisions & Skill Levels

The ACL matches players based on CPI skill level, so everyone gets a fair shot and a fun game. As you grow, you can move up.

📈 CPI = Cornhole Performance Index —The CPI is the ACL’s official player rating scale, ranging from 1 (lowest) to 12 (highest). It offers a precise, dynamic measure of your performance beyond traditional skill levels.
📈 PPR = Points Per Round — the average number of points you score per round in a game. It’s a key stat in determining your progression.

View more information about CPI at iplaycornhole.com/cpi

If a player does not yet have a CPI, placement will be based on other available information such as self-declared skill level, observation by an ACL Director, past ACL or league history, or starting in a default entry tier. A player’s PPR (Points Per Round) may also be used to help determine proper tier placement. Once the player has competed in enough CPI-eligible games, the system will automatically generate their official CPI, and future placements will be determined by that rating.

Players caught creating a second account at a lower skill level and participating in ACL events at the lower skill level are subject to suspension.

💡Unsure where you fit? Ask your local Director. They’ll help place you where you can compete, grow, and enjoy the game.

ACL Tournaments & Points

ACL Tournaments & Points

To earn ACL points, you must pay for the event and play at least one game.

This rule applies at all levels — Local, Regional, State, Open, and Pro.

Brackets Note:
If a tournament has more than 64 players or teams, it will be split into two or more brackets.
Each bracket will award points separately.

LOCAL Tournaments (Unlimited!)

Local tournaments include singles, Bring Your Own Partner (BYOP) doubles, and blind draw doubles.
If a tournament doesn’t award ACL points — ask your Director why not!
